Serpentine Belt Tensioner Bolt Stripped. While putting the new timing belt on, i somehow managed to strip out a portion of the belt tensioner pulley bolt hole. In the process, i got the fan/shroud out, got the ac belt detentioned and out, all fine till this point.
I am stuck up trying to detention the serpentine belt tensioner. B) place a 5/8” box end wrench on tensioner, align belt onto grove of tensioner pulley. You need that bolt to remain stationary for removing/installing the belt, no other way of getting around it.
